A Study of the Relationship of Empowerment Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment Perceived by Dental Technicians

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship of empowerment with job satisfaction and organizational commitment perceived bydental technicians. Data for this study were obtained from 212 dental technicians working for dental laboratory or dental departments of clinics or hospitals in Seoul and Gyeonggi area. The data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson¡¯s Correlation Coefficients, Cronbach¡¯s alpha Coefficients and Multiple Regression. The results were analyzed with spss/pc+ and the conclusion is as follows: 1. The level of dental technicians empowerment was 3.27, job satisfaction was 3.32, and their organizational commitment was 3.36. 2. Among general characteristics of subjects, working part(p<.01). position(p<.01) and salary(p<.05) have different effect on empowerment. Among general characteristics of subjects. working part(p<.05), position(p<.05), working experience(p<.01), and salary (p<.01) have different effect on job satisfaction. Among general characteristics of subjects, working place(p<.05), working part(p<.01), position(p<.01), working experience (p<.01) and salary(p<.01) have different effect on organizational commitment. 3. Empowerment showed a positive correlation with job satisfaction(r=.746. p<.01), organizational commitment(r =.731, p<.01).
